The Advancement Operations team serves as the backbone for strategic and efficient advancement activities by providing essential technical and administrative support. Their responsibilities include technical and fundraising project management to drive key initiatives, detailed stewardship reporting to ensure donor commitments are honored and appreciated, the creation of Presidential and Sr. Vice Presidential acknowledgement letters, and meticulous gift agreement creation and maintenance. The team is also crucial for optimizing efficiency through process engineering, ensuring smooth data flow via systems integration, and delivering timely, specialized insights through ad hoc reporting support.

The Advancement Technologies team is central to empowering University Advancement through a comprehensive suite of technical services, data-driven strategies and innovation. Their work encompasses analytical research to inform strategic decision-making, guiding advancement to innovate using artificial intelligence tools and services, as well as prospect research and management to identify and engage potential donors. They ensure operational efficiency by providing reliable technical support and fostering user proficiency through technical training. Furthermore, the team is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the Advancement infrastructure, including managing information security protocols, managing our key technical contracts and partnerships, overseeing software engineering for custom solutions, and ensuring the smooth and continuous maintenance of the Wake Network.

The Advancement Services team is the foundational core of institutional advancement, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all operations that support fundraising and constituent engagement. Their comprehensive work includes gift & pledge entry and accounting, which involves meticulously processing and recording all philanthropic commitments according to CASE accounting standards. The team is also responsible for the maintenance of biographic and demographic information on alumni, parents, and friends, creating a reliable institutional memory that informs strategic outreach. Furthermore, they facilitate data-driven decision-making through the creation of business Intelligence tools and dashboards, providing leaders with actionable insights. Central to all these functions is an unwavering commitment to customer service and data integrity, guaranteeing that the institution’s critical information is accurate, secure, and consistent across all systems.
