How can I support our facilitators?
Don’t abuse their time. All facilitators are volunteering their time in addition to the other work activities they are responsible for.
Think about your meeting and the need for a facilitator well in advance of when the meeting will be scheduled so you and the facilitator will have adequate time to plan.
Trust and rely on them to keep the process of a meeting flowing smoothly. Be willing to invest the time necessary to plan an excellent meeting that can be excellently facilitated.
Engage them to help make your meetings more effective and efficient.
Now that you know you want a facilitator for your next meeting, just follow these 3 simple steps:
1. Meeting convener will send an email to abbinej@wfu.edu containing the following information:
- Preference of facilitator
- Meeting date and time
- Meeting length
- List of participants and subject of meeting
2. Meeting convener and facilitator meet prior to meeting to prepare.
3. Meeting is convened.
